Title: Boo Who When best selling horror author Wolfe "Boo" Boone gives his life to God and quits writing, it gives the little town of Skary, Indiana, nightmares. How will the town survive when its main source of income has been to lure in Boone-loving tourists to Boo's hometown. Now Skary's townsfolk are scrambling to keep their town alive. When the mayor has an emotional breakdown, his assistant, Martin Blarty, takes it upon himself to save Skary. He believes that taking the town back to its roots is the key. The only problem is that all of the town's historical documents have mysteriously disappeared, and the one person who knows the town's past isn't talking. Missy Peeples is the only person in Skary who knows the town's history, and she's determined to keep it a secret. But when she realizes the town might actually die out, she has to decide if saving Skary is worth revealing her horrible family secret. Ainsley Parker once despised what Wolfe Boone's horror writing had done to her town, but when Wolfe got saved and she got to know him, Ainsley discovered the man of her dreams. Now she's planning the wedding of her dreams. But when Alfred, Wolfe's ex-editor, recruits her to be the next Martha Stewart, Ainsley finds her well-ordered world spinning out of control. Her wedding plans suffer and so does her relationship with Wolfe, but her career as the new domestic diva is taking off like a rocket. Wolfe wants to support Ainsley in her new quest, but he doesn't like the woman she's turning into. He wants his sweet Ainsley back. As he watches her pursue her new dream, he can't help but wonder if marrying him is a dream she no longer wants. Boo Who is the quirky sequel to Rene Gutteridge's best-selling novel, Boo. While Boo Who is a stand-alone novel, readers will want to first read Boo in order to understand all the characters and their motivations. Your interest will be piqued by the Boo Who's unusual secondary characters from a depressed cat, to a woman who blows her whole wedding budget on a wedding dress several sizes too small, to strange, ghostly characters screaming in the woods. Short scenes jump from one character's story to another, keeping the pace moving quickly along.
Boo Who is a unique book. Rene Gutteridge uses humor to weave in
stories about less-than-perfect people who don't always go about things
the right way, and thus suffer odd consequences, which bring personal
growth. A light faith message and a truly different storyline make Boo
Who a fun, enjoyable read.
