Title: Blue Moon, (Book Three of the Moonstruck Series)

Author: Linda Windsor

Publisher: WestBow Press

ISBN: 0-7852-6064-1

Genre: Inspirational/Contemporary/Romance

Jeanne Madison has her PhD and her eye on a sunken treasure ship off the coast of Yucatan. She gets her team together, her mentor, Remi Primston, a handful of graduate students, and all the government cooperation a marine archaeologist could want. So she goes looking for the Luna Azul—or Blue Moon—with the help of Captain Gabriel Avery and his rust-bucket, Fallen Angel.

Gabe Avery has the rugged good lucks of a Hollywood pirate and he pushes every last one of Remi’s buttons, getting on his last nerve. But sparks fly between Gabe and Jeanne, and in spite of his history of brawls, bullion, and romantic escapades, she believes he is worth his weight in gold. After all, he has had other successful treasure hunts under his belt.

But when news gets out about the treasure hunt, an unscrupulous competitor is hot on their tails. Gabe and Jeanne have to stay alert and one step ahead of the game. Will they be able to salvage the gold?

Blue Moon is the third in Linda Windsor’s Moonstruck series, and it easily stands alone, although readers will want to read the first two in the series first so they can learn about what happens prior with other members of Jeanne’s family. The faith message in Blue Moon is not as strong as it is in some of Ms. Windor’s other books, but the thread is there.

The hero of the story didn’t win too many points from me. While he is realistic, he is not someone I would want to date. Jeanne is also realistic, and she is a much nicer person than Gabe. Blue Moon did have several laugh out loud moments, making it, all-in-all a satisfying read. $13.99. 233 pages.
