April Truitt completely believes in Lydia Pinkham’s herbal tonic and is willing to completely disregard her grandfather’s wishes to help Lydia promote this alternative to medicine. After all, there is no reason a woman should suffer from her monthly visitor. But April must keep her association with the topic completely secret so her ailing grandfather doesn’t find out…

Gray Fuller has shunned his life in Dallas and moved to Dignity to help the poor people who need doctors but don’t have any. He’s disturbed that some women are buying this topic when there is no proof that it helps. They need to see a doctor. But Lydia Pinkham’s topic seems to becoming more and more popular.

Gray is attracted to April, but he doesn’t want her stealing all his patients. After all, he has loans to pay off, and if he doesn’t he’ll be forced to return to Dallas and marry the woman of his nightmares. Will Gray be able to convince April to stop selling to alternative to medicine?

Bluebonnet Belle is Lori Copeland’s newest release. April is a sweet heroine, kind and gentle, if a little pushy with the topic. Gray is also kind and considerate with a sense of humor. I didn’t know which character I cheered for more, they both had my sympathies.

Lori Copeland is definitely a stellar writer, grabbing my interest on page one and holding it through the book. Even though as a romance the story was pretty predictable, there are enough twists in it that I couldn’t keep from reading to find out what would happen next. I loved the ending!  Discussion questions are included at the end. $6.99. 375 pages.
