Title: Because Author: Greg Laurie Publisher: Multnomah Publishers ISBN: 1-59052-797-6 Genre: Inspirational/Nonfiction
Because is a timely devotional, full of God’s truths. There is over two months worth of daily readings in subjects such as:
In Sync with God Our Habit of Wandering God with Skin Where is Happiness? Failure and Success The Shield of Faith And much more
The devotionals are written with the devotion part, including scripture, first, then guidelines for how to spend your prayer time. It goes on to include suggestions to incorporating the reading into your daily life, and then suggestions for adding to your prayer journal reflections, personal application, and personal prayer points.
I read the devotions with my teenagers before we started our school day and I enjoyed them. They are very well written and meaningful. My only complaints are that there is only one devotional for the weekend, and I’m not sure if your supposed to read the same one over on Saturday or Sunday, or forego a devotion on Sunday, since you are in church. I also would like to see places available for adding thoughts and insights as the devotion is read, but that might be in the final copy.
I recommend Because as a truly timely devotional. We will be going over it multiple times. $14.99. 320 pages.
