Title: Angel In The Saloon Genre: Inspirational/Historical/Romance Jeanne Marie's debut novel, Angel in the Saloon, brings to life the 1880's Colorado logging town of Glory Gulch. Amelia Jackson, a refined young blind woman, is sent to live with her long-lost aunt, Corrin. Trouble is, Aunt Corrin runs a saloon co-owned by businessman Paul Strupel and mountain man Jeremiah Cowan. Amelia meets her new surroundings head-on, and finds herself being wooed by two very different men. Even though she makes her choice, she wonders what being in love really is. Both Amelia's blossoming love and her growing faith are challenged by assault, separation from loved ones, a tragic shooting, and a stagecoach accident. Alister Jackson, presumed dead for many years, comes to town and wants forgiveness for the past. Amelia is forced to put mercy and forgiveness into action when she meets her father. Through the perilous life in a logging town, Amelia emerges triumphant in life and love. I look forward to Jeanne Marie's next installment of the Brides of Glory Gulch, and visiting with these characters again. |
